Based in Dubai, Ranjisha’s journey into art did not begin in a traditional artistic space. It began in a world of structure, precision, and industry. An engineer by qualification, she spent over 17 years working in the oil and gas sector as a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Internal Controls Manager and Facilitator. Her role required her to understand systems, assess risks, and ensure compliance, but beyond the technicalities, it gave her something far more profound: a firsthand understanding of the delicate relationship between industry and the environment.
That awareness stayed with her.
Over time, it evolved into a quiet but persistent need to express, to question, and to connect. In 2014, she turned to painting, not as a profession at first, but as a personal exploration. What began as an outlet soon grew into something deeper. With each stroke, she found herself returning to a central theme: nature. Not just its beauty, but its vulnerability. Not just what we admire, but what we risk losing.
Her work today reflects that journey.
Ranjisha’s art focuses on endangered species and fragile ecosystems, using visual storytelling to explore themes of coexistence, resilience, and responsibility. Working primarily with acrylics, oils, and mixed media, she builds her compositions in layers, both visually and conceptually. These layers are not just artistic choices; they mirror the complexity of ecological narratives, where beauty and loss often exist side by side.

It also supports community-based programs, including awareness-building in forest regions, human-animal conflict mitigation, and the exploration of alternative livelihoods for local communities.
