We are in the second half of the year and the Covid pandemic still has the world in its tentacles. throttling world economies and bringing uncertainty to people’s lives around the globe. And here we are, still with no solution in sight. The best solution is prevention, in the form of social distancing, exercising the power of your mind to control the natural urges for social mingling. We are at a crossroads in the phase of the pandemic, with governments around the world relaxing lockdown restrictions and opening up travel and entertainment. This is the time that we need to exercise our intelligence and self-control. In most corners of the world, the number of covid cases are far more today than at the start of the lockdown. So, common sense should prevail and each of us must exercise more care and precaution. If you can avoid it, please avoid going out. Even if you have to go out, maintain social distancing. Try to avoid long-distance travel if it is not an emergency. Please understand that lockdown relaxations are happening primarily because of market forces and for the sake of people’s livelihoods, and not because the world has become a safer place. The pandemic is still very real and may even be more dangerous.
